Rejoin Stonewall wins LSE Campaign of the Year award

Student campaigners from Rejoin Stonewall were awarded the “Campaign of the Year Award” today, by their peers in the Student Union at the London School of Economics.

The Student Union awards were created to celebrate the breadth, talent, and dedication of students at the LSE. The awards are an opportunity to recognise student achievements, and to put a spotlight on the work and achievements of student groups and individual student leaders. The nominations for Campaign of the Year included Rejoin Stonewall, as well as the Turkish Society’s earthquake fundraising and the Solidarity Assembly’s campaign. Rejoin Stonewall campaigner Chloe Richardson was nominated as Activist as the Year.

When the awards were announced, Rejoin Stonewall was formally recognised by the student union for its tireless work to defend LGBTQ+ rights on campus. It was a small win in a bigger battle that had only just begun.
